Our tiny brick front porch and stairs were in bad shape with gaps between bricks and ants living inside, plus the stairs were not constructed evenly and were a tripping hazard. We wanted a little bigger porch with composite decking and safe stairs. When Derick Smith of Seven Hills Remodeling came to give us an estimate he was very knowledgeable, paid attention to what we wanted, and returned a detailed estimate within 48 hrs. Derick and Randal were very responsive, showed up when they said they would, kept us informed, and worked hard to get the job done. There were 2 tons of dirt and smaller brick stairs under the existing structure, but they got it demolished and hauled off and cleaned up all the debris. When they started on the structure their craftmanship and dedication to quality really shined. They followed our list of materials (light gray Veranda decking with white lattice below the structure) and went above and beyond code on framing the structure itself. It is really solid, the decking does not dip, sag, or vibrate, and the stairs are built properly. A friend of ours who knows construction commented that he could run his truck into the deck and it would stay up! (We asked him not to do that, LOL) We definitely will be hiring Seven Hills Remodeling to do some other projects later in the year, and I would recommend them to anyone needing any type of home repair or remodeling.
